Rice Plants

Photo of rice plants. The rice plants below were planted on hilly grounds and ready for harvesting. In Borneo, rice harvesting are celebrated by the natives on June 01 in Malaysian Sarawak and May 31 in Malaysian Sabah. The harvest celebration in Sarawak is called Hari Gawai while the harvest celebration in Sabah is called Hari Keamatan.

I had no idea what this sort of rice looked like, nor any other, as a matter of fact! But I knew is it cause for celebration in Asian countries!
