Big Black Bumble Bee

Ever saw a giant bee? Bumble bee (BOMBUS RUDERATUS) is one of the biggest bee around but they are a gentle giant and rarely sting people. Bumble bees have a hairy or fuzzy abdomen and are recognized by the black and yellow patches on their bodies. They nest in the ground making colonies of up to a few hundred individuals.
